It has an excellent resistance as regards the cultivation both in open ground and in pots. However, it should be borne in mind that for outdoor cultivation after a few years the bulb begins to suffer thus giving scarce blooms. For its beauty it is used to embellish flower beds or gardens. The hyacinth bulb looks like a large red or pink onion depending on the color that the flowers will take.

Care: The distance between one bulb and another must be sufficient to allow the growing plant not to suffer from space. When all the hyacinth bulbs are transplanted, they will be moved to a cool, semi-shaded place to improve root and leaf development. This phase typically lasts fifteen days. Once all the small leaves have sprouted and you see the color of the bulb sticking out of the ground by a couple of centimeters, you can move the plant to a warm and above all sunny place. In a short time you will have a magnificent flowering.

Sowing: Hyacinths can be planted around October - November, when it starts to get cold. As far as cultivation is concerned, we can say that this bulb has its best characteristics in the open air.

FEATURES FOR EACH SPECIES:

Jan Bos: Jan Boss is a vigorous variety, capable of reaching 25 cm in height, with a bright color that needs space to grow when placed in the ground.

Carnegie: Hyacinths belong to the asparagus family, as you can easily see. Of all, perhaps the “Carnegie” hyacinth is the most similar. Excluding the shape, the white-golden color is combined with a perfume that has no comparison.

Blue Jacket: The oblong-shaped “Blue Jacket” hyacinth is a real treat for the eyes, while its delicious spring fragrance will caress your senses. The small blue flowers grow upwards. It doesn't matter if you put them in the sun, partially or completely in the shade. They will make your patio or balcony shine in any case! The 'Blue Jacket' hyacinth is a gorgeous dark blue hyacinth, each petal having a lighter stripe along the edges.

Gipsy Queen: The Gipsy Queen hyacinth has beautiful clusters of orange, very fragrant starry flowers.
