Description:
Daffodils are spring-flowering perennial bulbous plants and they are part of the Amaryllidaceae family. Their flowers are shaped like tubular trumpets with a double corolla. The six outer petals, divided and arranged in a radial pattern, are of variegated colors. All the varieties of this plant, then, have a wonderful scent.
Care:
The best time to plant narcissus bulbs is from October to December, before the frosts arrive.
The bulb must be buried with the head facing upwards at a depth of about 7-8 cm. The distance between one bulb and another must be at least 25 cm.
If grown in pots, however, they can be clustered close together. In this way, a lush and beautiful plant can be obtained.
The narcissus loves sunny or semi-shaded places sheltered from the wind. It does not fear the cold and the cold temperatures of winter even if the bulbs are left at home.
